Varsity ranked 3rd in State in LONESTARVOLLEYBALL.COM TEXAS TOP 20

Another team that received considerable consideration for #1. Anyone who watched the 17 Open finals at LoneStar this summer knows just how dominating this team can be. With the 1-2-3-4 punch of Tiffany Baker, Olivia Okoro, Taylor Cembalisty and Rachel Buckley, this could be the most explosive team since the power show that Cy-Fair put on the court a couple of years ago. Smooth setter Nicole Hragyil is gone but San Antonio transfer Brittany Sample, who played on Alamo's 16 team, could step right in. The key to a title run will be ball control if the Hawks hope to take advantage of the setting and the powerful attack. Jenna Allen (OH, 5-11, 2012), who was injured last year should play a big role this year and 6-2 sophomore middle Micaela Spann should get some valuable experience while Okoro is away early in the season competing with the US team in Singapore.
